Buy a pocket sized diary when shopping for Christmas and keep it in your car or purse for unplanned shopping stops. On the top of each page print each person's name from your Christmas list. Below the name, write down various ideas to buy each person. Be sure to have alternatives in case you can't find something. Keep the diary for next year and refer to it, so that you don't buy someone the same gift you did the year before.
