Christmas Cookie Recipes - Candy Cane Cookies

To make candy cane Christmas cookies, take your favorite recipe for rolled cookies. (This will not work with drop cookies because the batter will be too sticky.) Mix up a batch and divide it into two equal parts. Add red food coloring to one half. Roll equal amounts of the plain and colored dough into 8 inch strips. Braid and fashion into a candy cane shape. Bake as instructed.
