July 23, 2010, Newsletter Issue #245: Possible Christmas Gift Ideas for the Babysitter

Tip of the Week

I think the key ingredient here is to get your kids involved while choosing a Christmas present. You want to show your babysitter how much she is appreciated, so a thank you note or a mini scrapbook with drawings, pictures and stories chronicling their favorite activities spent together would be a truly memorable gift. I suggest tucking a gift certificate for her favorite restaurant, store or beauty parlor inside. Let her papmper herself with something she wouldn't ordinarily give herself. Another nice idea might be to turn a picture of your children into a mug, sweatshirt or mousepad, with the words "Favorite Babysitter" on it. You'll find kiosks in the mall that do this type of thing. Kinkos makes calendars from photographs, and drug store photo centers print mugs.
